Bad Blogger
I haven't blogged in a while, MY BAD! :(
Mainly because I'm trying to be good and not buy too much stuff, but I have bought a few bits :/ OOPS!
First these BEAUTIFUL Topshop shoes I've been lusting after for ageeesssss. They were £65, but I had some money off my Nan for graduating so I thought I'd treat myself, as I haven't stopped banging on about them for agessssss!

I also got these few bargains in the Limited Collection sale (again!) These jeans are amazing, I absolutely adore them and they're a brilliant fit, which I normally struggle to find. The tie dye is so 90s (£12!) <3

I also picked up these fab shorts, I love the colour blocking and the fit is lovely as they're so wide so they make my legs look skinnnnyyyy. AND I got these for a FIVER!

And finally this beautiful skirt, its so stunning (although I'm not sure I'm ever gonna have a good enough excuse to wear it, as it's really very dressy, but pretty all the same, I think this was £9, so really one wear is enough ;) prettyful!

So yeah, not been up to much, but needed to jump back on the wagon before I gave up entirely. My wishlist is getting pretty big right now, so that'll probably be my next post. Then I promise to start doing some OOTDs (as I finally found the lead to my camera that my Mom swore she never had) YAYYYY :)

Shoe Porn
OK, so anyone who knows me will by now know that I am a massive SHOE ADDICT.
I cannot get enough, flats, boots, heels, sandals, anything <3
(It has also given me my two biggest fashion hates.... Ugg boots- urghhhh and Kitten heels- double urrggghhhh)
But this post I will dedicate to my favourites, my heels :) I had a small clear out a month or so ago so it's slightly shrunk right now, ready for new summer editions. This is all of them in their glory....

And now a few of my best on their own, because they deserve it :)

This gorgeous pair are from Topshop a while back. After I got these they started popping up everywhere but these were the original, and one of my favourite pairs ever!

I got these from Dorothy Perkins in the sale last summer, for something like £20. Bargain. I love wearing them with summer dress and even with socks and skirts. They're also really comfortable 'cos they're so chunky.

These are definitely one of the most beautiful pairs I own (and one of the most uncomfortable!) I'd wanted them all Summer, and finally managed to pick them up at a Kurt Geiger outlet store for £59 instead of £140. Among the best bargains ever, i'll treasure these Carvela beauts for a long time.

I got these sexy heels from New Look, for about £25? and I adore them! New Look shoes really are hard to beat, mainly cos they're great for the price, but these are truly gorgeous, they look just like cherry drops :) And for the heel height, they're actually really comfortable and easy to walk in.

My first pair of Carvela's bought for me for my 21st by my fabulous boyfriend <3 They're so classic and I will keep them forever! (and mega comfortable!)

Now I know these are totally wrecked and minging but I can't help but love them! Another New Look pair, about £20. I've had them ages and I wear them allllll the time on nights on, they really are like wearing slippers (well, almost!) I dread to think what they've been through (and in) but that just makes them even more special <3

These beauty's are from River Island, in the sale, yearrrrs ago! I admit I dont wear them all that often 'cos they dont really go with much (and they rub a bit :/) but I still love them, and they're worthy of a photo :)

ANOTHER New Look pair, similar to the burgundy, but in a gorgeous rusty orange colour that I love. Can't go wrong for the price, they're amazing.

You can't really go far wrong in Summer with a pair of Nude cork shoes can you? I got these in the Next sale for a tiny £15 and they're so perfect for pretty much any summery outfits. And being from Next, they're pretty darn comfy, pass me the Pimms.

And finally, how could I do a shoe post without mentioning my beloved Leopard Print shoe boots?! Again, New Look, cheap as chips (actually another gift from the bf) and so perfect. If I could wear them every day I would. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
YAY SHOESSSSSSS! <3

Studded Love
Hi again!
Just a quick post to show off my latest handywork!
I've been desperate for a studded bag for agggesss! I like this one from River Island but at a very big £150, it's just too much for my poor purse. SO I MADE MY OWN :)

I got the bag from my auntie, but it was just a very plain soft black handbag. You could probably pick one up from Primark or a charity shop for a few £££s. I got the studs from eBay, they were really cheap and very easy to use, but did take a while to arrive (from Hong Kong I think) so if you're in a rush I'm sure there are some from UK sellers for not much more that will reach you quicker! I might still add a few sew on gems yet, but I'll wait and see, I'm very happy with it so I don't wanna ruin it!
I've already had a couple of friends (Clare and Duttski- check out their blogs and youtube channel!) that want one next, so watch this space, there might be a few more coming soon!

January Blues?
January's nearly over, Thank GOD. Once February arrives we can start looking forward to a bit more daylight and, with any luck, some slightly warmer weather! But there are a few lovely things that January has bought, mainly in the form of beautiful clothes, shoes and jewellery! (Even after the christmas gifts, and first lot of sales bargains...) :)
River Island Skirt- £20 loving the good ol' midi pencil skirt, + leopard print = Jess HEAVEN.
Next wedges- £18 (sale) gorgeous! plus Next shoes are SO comfortable!
Oasis ring- £3 (sale) fake YSL arty for just 3 quid :) can't complain!
Primark shirt- £10 LOVEEEE!
Primark rosary beads- £1 (sale) bargain, even if it will break the first time I wear it!
Primark jumper- £12 wanted one from Topshop, but this is farrrr cheaper, and actually much softer! Its more peachy than it looks on the photo too.
Topshop 'Peace' bra top- £12 will have to wait for the weather to warm up a bit first! But I LOVEEE it!
Topshop shoes- £28 beyond perfect <3
Topshop shorts- £20 (sale) wanted these for FOREVER, and then BOOM, last pair, my size, £14 cheaper than full price. This can only be described as fate :)
Topman Rihanna top- £10 (sale) again, I've been banging on about this for a very long time! I've cut the sleeves off so its now a festival worthy vest. Roll on Summer!
Also, I thought I'd share with you the outfit I'm planning to wear for my Graduation ceremony next week (even though I finished uni last June....) The dress is from River Island (£30) and it came with the gorgeous leopard print belt. Im going to wear pretty sensible looking leopard print peep toe court shoes with it (to minimise the chance of falling over!) Sophisticated yet still very me :) Hope you like it! I'll post some photos of the day when it arrives :)

Is it Spring yet?
I'm fully aware that we're only in January, and it's still pretty likely to snow here before we get any chance of a bit of sunshine. And I also know that from the second the stock in the shops turned towards Autumn last year I went on and on and on about how much I prefer winter clothes, but yes, NOW I'M READY FOR SPRING PLEASE?! I can't stop eyeing up all of these gorgeous pastel colours and pretty florals around, as well as all the amazing festival inspired pieces already in the shops. (especially as I'm off to Reading in August, YAY! I'm sure you'll hear loads more about this in the coming months) But it's also good to see that a lot of the things I have from last year will still be amazing to wear this year too, It's like shopping in your own wardrobe! (seeing as I've pretty much forgotten whats in there....) But here's a quick list of the things I'm most looking forward to wearing as soon as I can... :)
✝ Pastels; denim, lace, chiffon, you name it....
✝ Black and White striped; especially teamed with Lime. River Island are owning this right now!
✝ Colour Block shoes; please?!
✝ Nudes; shirts, shoes and dresses, instantly freshen up your mid season wardrobe
✝ Florals; Ditsy at first, then getting bigger and brighter as the season goes on! (I have LOTS of this from last year!)
✝ Boho; love, peace and maxi skirts!
✝ Festival Rock and Roll; Gimme anything packed full of grunge, studs, skulls, denim , leather and MUD!
Ahhhh, Spring Summer '12, we are waiting!

So it's most definitely one of our FAVOURITE spots on any high street in the UK, and the most stylish by far. Colour Block Heels- £65

Girl Called Madonna
The One with all the bargains!
I have to say, I wasn't all that impressed with the January sales this year, seemed to be a lot of very old stock, or else things didn't get all that cheap. But I did mange to pick up a few gems, so I thought I'd share my brilliant little finds with you! Enjoy!
First of all I bought a few bits from M&S (which sounds odd I know! But I work there as a stylist for their new brands which are actually amazing, you can pick up some really good stuff, especially from the 'Limited Collection')
First of I got this jumper, it comes with the snood thats detachable, in a black/beige chunky knit. So so warm and slouchy. Love it! This was £18

Next these GORGEOUS jeans, with a snake print shiny pattern on, which its nice a subtle until it catches the light, so you can dress them up or down, all for a tiny £9!!

Then this playsuit which I adore. I had my eye on it at full price but at £45 it was a bit too unnecessary, but when it still hadn't shifted by the final reductions in the sale, going down to a beautiful little £12, i had to grab it!

Finally from M&S, this amazing maxi cardigan in silver. My absolute favourite! also for £12. (and still not sure how often its going to get worn, if I'm honest) but it was a MUST have. :)

My next buy is from New Look, somewhere I have a love/hate relationship with. Sometimes, theres some really nice bits, other times its full of rubbish, or really overpriced when you know its probably going to fall apart after a few washes. But this I loved at full price, but always seemed at bit expensive from New Look (£30ish I think) so when I saw it in the sale, with no tag, I had to find out how much I could snap it up for, so when it came up at £7(!!!!) I was more than impressed and nearly ran to the till with my gorgeous new sheer floral blouse. LOVE!

Next up was Topshop. An obvious fave, and while I didn't fancy risking the chaos in the city centre, I headed off to a out of town shopping park not far from home, which only has a tiny Topshop, but the sale was pretty good! I got this velour skater style dress in black for £18. Simple but really flattering, and definitely my style.

I also picked up these fake leather shorts in a creamy beige colour for just £15, high waisted and not too short. A really nice fit too, BARGAIN.

Grabbed a couple of bits of jewellery from the Topshop sale too, a collar style necklace in an antique gold colour, from £4.50, and these big triangle studs for just £1.50. Just to keep my HUGE collection topped up like!

One place I was massively disappointed with this time round was River Island. Along with Topshop, it's my favourite place to shop, and their sale is usually brilliant. Last year i spent over £100, this year I got one dress! But it is lovely! I saw it at full price just before christmas but guessed it was likely to go into the sale, and I was right, down to £15! Burgundy velour with lace sleeves. Very pretty and sweet, not sure when I'll wear it but I had to snap it up!

Finally I had a browse through Debenhams, a shop I very rarely go into. I'm not a fan of many of the brands they stock and it's usually all very pricey. But then I spotted the H! By Henry Holland area, which I've never seen in the shops before, but always notice in magazines and online. They had a biiiig sale and I grabbed at this beautiful playsuit in hot pink (very summery) for just £18. I actually love it! Will definitely be looking out for this brand in the future!

Then, as per every year, I had my influx of NEXT sale items posted through my door just after christmas. My Mom is the biggest NEXT shopper ever, we are actually VIPs, so we get our online sale slot days before the sale goes live for everyone else. The rest of the year, I rarely ever shop there, but you always know you'll get some bargains come sale time! I'm still waiting for two more things, but I'll share the bits that have already arrived :) These aztec print trousers are gorgeous! My answer to printed leggings (which just look wrong on me) They're straight and quite a skinny leg, but mush more flattering, and I love the colours. These were £18 I think.

Next is this beautiful blazer which me and the Mother are going to 'share' :) Cream with black lapels. its so sos soft and comfortable and I'm so in love with it! £20, brilliant!

This dress was lovely, a bit of an odd choice for me but I love it. A pleated chiffon skirt and attached thin black jumper, its so comfortable and so wearable. I think it was about £12, but I can't remember! :/

Then a pair of glittery brogues, because everyone needs a pair of these in their life! :) I love the ribbon laces and they are really really comfortable, for £8, who can argue?!

Then my FINAL piece (honestly) are these AMAZING boots. I very nearly had them for christmas, but chose some others from River Island, thinking that either these beautys would go into sale, or I could buy them after christmas myself. But they went from £75, down to £35! LOVE LOVE LOVE them, so comfortable, struggling to not wear them everyday! <3

So, that's all of my January sale bargains, I didn't think there was much, but evidently, there is! :/ oops! But I LOVE it all.I'll try and post them all in outfits of the day at some point too :) And now I'm set until all the beautiful new spring clothes come into the shops.... :P
